St. Clairs Falls, Tawalantenne | Srilankan Guides
St. Clair Falls in Sri Lanka is a great place to escape the busy city life. It’s also called the Little Niagara because it’s a wild and beautiful waterfall that attracts lots of tourists each year.
There are two waterfalls there: the “Greater Fall” (260 feet tall) called Maha Ella, and the “Lesser Fall” (160 feet tall) called Kuda Ella. They’re both on the Kotmale River.
One interesting thing is that these waterfalls are affected by a big project called the Upper Kotmale Hydropower Project.
You can visit the falls for free. They’re located at Tawalantenne – Talawakele Rd, Sri Lanka.
