ADAM’S PEAK

Adam’s Peak is a tall, cone-shaped mountain in central Sri Lanka. It is 2,243 meters (7,359 feet) high. The mountain is famous for the “sacred footprint” called Sri Pada, which is a 1.8-meter rock near the top. According to Buddhist tradition, it’s considered Buddha’s footprint, Hindu tradition believes it to be Shiva’s, and in Muslim tradition, it is associated with Adam.
